Eddie Kingston, the former AEW Continental Champion, recently clarified his controversial remarks about ROH. Notably, Kingston has been absent from TV since February.
In September 2025, Kingston made a comeback from a year-long injury. Since then, he has been active on Dynamite and Collision, and recently started teaming with Ortiz in Ring of Honor. His last AEW television appearance was in February during a parking lot fight on Collision.
Following the Dynasty 2026 pay-per-view, Kingston took to the Threads social media platform to express his feelings about the ROH locker room, commenting on the disrespect he experienced:
“Man wrestling has changed. That is all I’m going to say. I lied watching ROH at that locker room has common sense. So much disrespect so much. And I got to sit and chill and not say anything. Lolol c**ksuckers.”
According to Fightful Select, Kingston later clarified these comments, mentioning some ROH talents while laughing:
“I just did it to be a d*ck because I’m bored. I’m happy as f*ck I get to team with someone as loyal as f*ck as I am in Ortiz. We get to wrestle Tommy Billington, Adam Priest, Oliver and Price. That sh*t is fun to me. I like fighting the younger kids. I ain’t mad at all” [H/T Patreon.com]
AEW World Champion Claims Eddie Kingston Fears Him
During a February interview with Kairouz Bros, MJF, the current AEW World Champion, criticized Eddie Kingston, suggesting he has CTE and is afraid to face him:
“It’s not a bad thing at all. It’s less bumps I’ve got to take and less CTE I’m walking towards. A guy like Eddie Kingston, he’s already got full-blown CTE. Let’s be honest, the guy doesn’t even know where he is anymore. That’s why he refuses to wrestle me. He’s scared of me, and as he should be, because I think if he took one punch from me, he’s out,” said MJF.
Only time will tell if Eddie Kingston will challenge AEW World Champion MJF soon.
