For two and a half centuries, American education has been a cornerstone of freedom, opportunity, and civic responsibility. On this Education and Sharing Day, we emphasize the vital role of a comprehensive education—one that prepares future generations of Americans to lead with integrity, patriotism, and strong moral character.
Today, we pay tribute to the life and vision of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, a highly influential Jewish leader in modern American history. In 1941, Schneerson fled Nazi persecution and arrived in the United States, where he took the helm of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement and was affectionately known as the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Under his guidance, this small Hasidic community blossomed into a worldwide movement of faith and service, revitalizing Judaism after the Holocaust and impacting millions globally.
As President, I am committed to advancing the Rebbe’s ideals of intellectual growth, righteousness, and faith. My Administration is revitalizing the education system, preparing the next generation of American students to live with purpose and virtue. We are reintroducing practical approaches in our classrooms and eliminating left-wing indoctrination to ensure our schools promote excellence, encourage civic involvement, and uphold our nation’s core values. We are transferring educational authority from unelected officials back to states, local communities, and parents. Additionally, we are dedicated to eliminating anti-Semitism in our society, ensuring every American can practice their faith without fear or persecution.
On Education and Sharing Day, we celebrate the remarkable life and lasting contributions of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson and commit to continuing his legacy of courageous and ethical leadership. As we mark 250 years of American independence, we reassert our dedication to a future where moral courage, faith, and commitment to freedom are the foundation of our Republic. Above all, we affirm that America will always be a nation guided by the eternal wisdom and providence of the Almighty.
