Electric Entertainment, known for its roles as a producer and distributor of hits like “Leverage,” “The Librarians,” and “The Ark,” has attracted a $20 million investment from Content Partners Capital.
The Los Angeles-based firm marks another studio in a growing list that has secured funding from Content Partners since it established its private capital investment division in April 2024.
According to CPC, which announced this partnership with Electric at Mipcom during the celebrations of Electric Entertainment’s 25th anniversary, “this arrangement illustrates CPC’s ongoing progress as it advances its investment strategy in content-centric enterprises and entertainment assets.”
Under the direction of CEO Dean Devlin (pictured above, left), Electric Entertainment has been functioning for a quarter of a century and has produced 36 episodes across three successful television series in just the past year. By the end of 2024, they completed 22 episodes.
“This funding will empower us to maintain the rapid expansion we have cultivated over the years,” stated Devlin. “We have had the privilege of creating, developing, and expanding several highly successful television brands and beloved properties, such as Leverage, The Librarians, and The Ark, among others. We are thrilled about our new alliance with Content Partners Capital and are confident that this collaboration will be advantageous for all parties involved.”
“Electric Entertainment has established itself as a heavyweight in the independent film and television sector, making it precisely the kind of thriving studio that Content Partners Capital aims to invest in,” remarked CPC partner Alphonse Lordo (pictured above, right). “With this agreement, we aim to back Electric Entertainment’s commitment to high-quality content while further solidifying Content Partners Capital’s position as a significant dealmaker in Hollywood, helping independent studios access strategic funding.”
Electric’s CFO Jeff Gonzalez commented: “I have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Alphonse, and I am genuinely enthusiastic about our collaborative efforts. His expertise in funding high-growth companies like Electric is invaluable, especially as we expand our diverse array of IP television series. This partnership with CPC will guarantee that we have the necessary funds to invest in both ongoing and new series, allowing us to continue delivering exceptional programming to our ever-expanding dedicated fanbase.”
