Emilie Kiser opened her heart on social media about coping with the loss of her son Trigg, who tragically drowned.
This 26-year-old influencer expressed her profound grief and the “unending sadness” she feels after Trigg, aged 3, drowned in May, through a touching Instagram Story shared on October 3.
“If you’re experiencing loss, just know that I am with you. The feeling of sadness can seem never-ending,” Emilie conveyed.
Emilie mentioned that she allows herself to embrace the grief and sadness while navigating through the aftermath of this heartbreaking event.
“An important realization for me is that all emotions can exist alongside grief. When tears come, I allow them; I embrace every emotion fully. This is my journey of living with this for the rest of my life,” she explained.
Emilie stated, “Experiencing grief is crucial—it’s challenging and raw, yet it highlights my everlasting love for Trigg. If my grief vanished tomorrow, I’d be sad because it would imply I’m no longer holding onto the wonderful memories of loving and missing him.”
The Chandler, Arizona Police Department shared with Us Weekly in May that Trigg’s death resulted from an incident where he was found unconscious in their backyard pool.
In July, law enforcement proposed criminal charges against Trigg’s father, Brady, who was present during the event. However, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office later indicated there was “no likelihood of conviction.”

Following her son’s death, Emilie took a break from social media but eventually returned and addressed the tragedy in August.
“Words can’t encapsulate a loss this significant,” Emilie expressed on Instagram. “I’ve spent considerable time attempting to articulate my feelings and processing the loss of my child.”
She added, “Trigg was not just our son but also our best friend. His radiance and spirit were immensely bright and filled with joy. We feel his absence every moment and moving forward often feels heavy. I never anticipated mourning in this way or the heartache of losing him so unexpectedly.”
Emilie, who now has a 6-month-old son named Teddy with Brady, returned to TikTok in September. In her tribute to her beloved son, she wore a necklace with the name “Trigg.”
“I’ve been offline for a bit,” she mentioned during her return. “Every day, I’m simply trying to navigate this new reality. I’m taking it one step at a time, as I will with my content as well.”
On September 28, Emilie discussed her therapy experiences as she strives to find a way to heal.
“I prepare myself to share everything I’m feeling during therapy, which often leaves me emotional on the way there,” she shared in a TikTok clip. “Just recalling what I’m dealing with in my life makes it so surreal.”
