Andrade El Idolo is a standout talent in AEW, renowned for his exceptional in-ring skills and commanding presence. He is part of the Don Callis Family, a faction that includes notable names such as Kazuchika Okada, Brian Cage, Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, and El Clon, among others.
Since returning to AEW, the former WWE star has been frequently taking selfies with female fans at ringside during his matches. On this week’s episode of Dynamite, the reigning IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion faced independent wrestler Keo Vandu. The match was brief, lasting less than a minute, as Andrade dominated his opponent and secured an easy victory.
As anticipated, Andrade El Idolo took selfies with a female fan during the match. Interestingly, this fan turned out to be independent wrestling star Emily Jaye, who surprised the Mexican wrestler by kissing him on the cheek, leaving even his faction members in surprise.
Emily Jaye shared the selfies with Andrade on social media platform X, accompanied by a playful message to the AEW star.
“oh hi @AndradeElIdolo 💋,” she wrote.
Vince Russo on why Andrade El Idolo left WWE
Andrade El Idolo’s second tenure with WWE concluded last year, during which he experienced moderate success. Notably, he was previously married to former WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, but the couple divorced in late 2024.
In a 2025 episode of Writing with Russo, WWE legend Vince Russo speculated that Andrade likely departed from WWE due to the discomfort of working in the same company as his ex-wife. Russo mentioned hearing that Andrade had been unresponsive to WWE’s communications and was possibly dissatisfied with his role in the company.
“I am not the kind of guy that tries to find this stuff out because I don’t care. But I am sure that you know, him and Charlotte [Flair] being divorced and working for the same company, that could be you know, uncomfortable. Then I hear he was ghosting them for a while or something like that… He probably wasn’t satisfied with the way he was being used,” he said.
The future of Andrade El Idolo in AEW remains uncertain, but there is hope that he may one day capture the AEW World Championship.
