Emma Chamberlain likes to kick off her day with matcha, especially when bracing for a “high-anxiety show.” “I don’t need espresso straight to the dome,” she quips.
At the Balenciaga spring 2026 runway, alongside stars like Meghan Markle and Anne Hathaway, Chamberlain embraced the chance to express herself. “For me, fashion week is a delightful time to dress up and try on styles I wouldn’t usually wear,” she shares.
For this occasion, she and stylist Jared Ellner embraced a more authentic look: a cropped white shirt with extended sleeves paired with black capri pants, accessorized with a black City bag and sharp-pointed heels. “I believe this ensemble represents my personal aesthetic the most,” she explains. The only component giving her pause? “Those pants are so low-waisted!” she exclaims. “I am typically not a fan of low-waisted bottoms, but when I tried them on, I thought, this actually looks great.”
Chamberlain confesses that both she and Ellner are “control freaks,” which made the fitting an intense experience. “Finding the right outfit is challenging,” she notes. “It’s a lot like Say Yes to the Dress—you put something on and it just clicks.” Ellner concurs: “It definitely feels like a part of you—less like portraying a character.” Even so, she acknowledges that showing her midriff is outside her comfort zone. “Belly button reveal!”
