Adam Parkhomenko, whose wife is among those accusing Rep. Eric Swalwell of sexual misconduct, has publicly addressed Swalwell’s video denying these accusations.
Parkhomenko, a Democratic strategist and former National Field Director for the DNC, stated on X on Friday, April 10, “My wife’s name is Ally Sammarco. Obviously, you know that, but she’s not named anonymous.” He was responding to Swalwell’s denial.
He further explained that Sammarco had spoken with CNN to prevent similar incidents from happening to others and possibly encourage more women to come forward. According to Parkhomenko, she provided CNN with all the messages sent by Swalwell. “I’ve been very supportive of you over the years but even I learned a lot today. And she has my full support,” he added.
The following day, April 11, Parkhomenko released another statement on X, standing by his wife.
“I would just like to reiterate that if Eric Swalwell and his attorney believe any statements that my wife and I have made are not true, he should sue us immediately,” he asserted. “He can DM me, and I’ll let him know where to serve us. But this will never happen.”
Us Weekly has contacted Swalwell’s communications director for a response regarding Parkhomenko’s comments.

Ally Sammarco has accused Swalwell, 45, of offering to help her with congressional job opportunities, followed by sending inappropriate messages via Snapchat suggesting they should meet up, as reported in a CNN investigation released on Friday. She is among four women accusing Swalwell of sexual misconduct, including a former staffer alleging rape. The other women have chosen to remain anonymous due to fears of retaliation.
Swalwell, who is leading the race for California’s governor, has strongly refuted all allegations, releasing a video vowing to contest the claims. Us has sought Swalwell’s comments on the matter.
In the video, Swalwell stated, “A lot has been said about me today through anonymous allegations. I thought it was important that you see and hear from me directly. These allegations of sexual assault are flat false. They are absolutely false. They did not happen. They have never happened. And I will fight them with everything I have.”
He acknowledged the timing of these accusations, coinciding with the gubernatorial race where he is the leading candidate. He admitted to previous errors in judgment but emphasized those were personal matters between him and his wife, Brittany Watts, with whom he has three children: Nelson, Cricket, and Hank.
Swalwell further apologized to his supporters who might have questioned their backing of him due to these allegations, asserting, “I think you know who I am. For over 20 years, I have served the public as a city councilman, as a member of congress and as a prosecutor who went to court on behalf of victims — particularly on behalf of sexual assault victims. That’s who I am and have always been.”
He concluded by expressing gratitude to those who have shown support, stating his intention to spend time with family and friends and promising further updates soon.
Prominent Democratic leaders have responded to the allegations against Swalwell, demanding a thorough investigation and calling for him to withdraw from the gubernatorial race.
“Following the incredibly disturbing sexual assault accusations against Congressman Eric Swalwell, we call for a swift investigation into these incidents and for the Congressman to immediately end his campaign to be California’s next governor,” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said in a joint statement alongside Democratic Whip Katherine Clark and Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar.
“This is unacceptable of anyone — certainly not an elected official — and must be taken seriously,” the statement continued. “We commend the courageous women for sharing their experiences. In this and all circumstances, we must ensure that those who come forward with allegations of sexual assault and harassment are heard and respected. All perpetrators of sexual assault and harassment must be held accountable.”
