Erika recently made headlines for her embrace with Vance at a Turning Point USA event, with some critics calling it “bizarre” and unconventional. One social media user even went as far as to say they couldn’t recall ever hugging someone in such a manner who was not their significant other.

Following the incident, RadarOnline.com reached out to a body language expert to analyze the interaction between Erika and Vance.

“She tilts her head as soon as she sees him,” body language expert Traci Brown observed. “That’s a sign of deep recognition and affection.”

Brown noted that the lack of formality in their body language, along with Erika’s hand on the back of Vance’s head, indicated a sense of closeness and intimacy between the two individuals. She also suggested that there was a strong emotional connection between them.

Prior to Vance taking the stage, Erika delivered a speech in which she praised him, drawing parallels between him and her late husband.

“No one can ever replace my husband, but I do see similarities between him and Vice President JD Vance,” Erika expressed. “I am truly grateful to introduce him tonight because he understands the challenges we face and is able to articulate them in a way that resonates – he is truly an exceptional individual.”
