Italian fashion designer Ermanno Scervino once said, “I like intelligent women, and intelligent women are never victims of the clothes they wear.” For his resort 2026 collection, Scervino drew inspiration from iconic figures such as Marella Agnelli, Lee Radziwill, Talitha Getty, and Jackie Kennedy. Transporting the imagery of ’60s and ’70s Capri to Florence—the backdrop for the campaign—Scervino captured a more urban take on Italian dolce vita. He aimed to bring his idea of class to the streets, emphasizing that elegance should not be detached from reality or daily life.

Scervino’s vision of charm is rooted in a seduction that is enigmatic rather than ostentatious. The collection exuded the subtle art of sprezzatura, where beauty speaks for itself without the need for explanation. A signature element of his aesthetic is the pairing of silk slips with outerwear crafted from technical fabrics. He noted, “I delved into the past. Lingerie-inspired dresses and down jackets are what brought us international success. This combination also represents a union between craftsmanship and technology, which, to me, is true modernity.”

Scervino’s passion for craftsmanship was evident in the intricate details of the collection. What appeared to be denim on a double-breasted suit was actually printed chiffon, while sculptural suede was hand-embroidered, and raffia was worked in crochet. Lace and knitwear remained essential elements in Scervino’s world, with a playful sensibility running throughout. Vichy checks and stripes were paired with animal prints, and the color palette—ranging from milky white to black—was brightened by pastel blue, coral red, and soft pink.

Embodying what Scervino described as “irreverent elegance,” a floor-length sequined skirt was effortlessly paired with a crisp white shirt.
