Prime Video’s provocative comedy series “Escort Boys” is making a highly anticipated return for its second season, set to premiere at Canneseries. The show, which delves into the world of male escorts in Southern France, explores themes of gender power dynamics, romantic love, female sexuality, and toxic masculinity.
Based on the Israeli series “Johnny and the Knights of Galilee” (“Milk and Honey”) and directed by Ruben Alves, “Escort Boys” follows four young men who turn to escorting to save their family business. Producer Myriam Gharbi-de Vasselot of Oberkampf Productions describes Season 2 as a departure from the original format, focusing on the consequences and limitations of prostitution.
