Études Studio’s latest collection, titled Résonances, drew inspiration from sound makers, showcasing a diverse range of influences from music and artists who work with sound as a medium. Aurélien Arbet and Jérémie Egry, the creative minds behind the brand, delved into the impact of music on generations and the effects of sound on the body. The show took place underground at IRCAM, highlighting the connection between music and fashion.
The collection featured a mix of structured and tailored pieces, including new coat options in wool, leather, and puffers. Knits added a playful touch with striped scarves and camo motifs, while a standout piece was a handmade striped, fringed sweater weighing over six kilos. A burgundy velvet suit showcased Études’ versatility in a more formal setting.
While staying true to its workwear roots, the brand also introduced laid-back and homewear-inspired pieces. Collaborating artists like Jeremy Shaw brought a contemporary edge with black and white stills from videos featured on message tees. The color palette ranged from neutrals to pops of purple, tying back to altered perception spaces inspired by Dream House.
In a surprising move, Études unveiled its first proprietary bag design, the crossbody messenger style named Studio. Available in leather with or without canvas, the bags hinted at the brand’s evolving direction. With a focus on creating a dialogue between eras and influences, the collection showcased Études Studio’s commitment to pushing boundaries and exploring new territories in fashion.
