London Fashion Hub Draws Inspiration from Everyday Life

London is renowned for its eccentric and creative fashion scene, often seen as a source of dream-like and outlandish designs. However, in a recent shift, many designers in the city have turned towards more ordinary sources of inspiration, embracing the beauty of everyday life.

Eudon Choi is one such designer who has embraced this trend in his pre-spring 2026 collection. Drawing inspiration from the late New York-based photographer Saul Leiter, known for capturing the poetry of everyday moments, Choi sought to translate this essence into his designs. “Leiter’s ability to capture everyday life in such a profound way really resonated with me, especially in times of change,” Choi explains. “I wanted to focus on menswear staples from his work and reinterpret them in a womenswear context.”

In line with Leiter’s vision, Choi’s collection doesn’t aim to blend into the ordinary, but rather to elevate it. Slate gray tailored jackets with poplin shirt cuffs, diaphanous crepe shirts with drawstring hoods, and gabardine trench coats with boomerang sleeves all add a touch of sophistication to everyday pieces. The collection also features button-down knit slip dresses styled over tailored slacks, creating a dramatic and cinematic look.

“I found Leiter’s perspective to be profoundly poetic, and I wanted to bring that into my designs,” Choi states. “I wanted to create pieces that invite people to slow down, take a closer look, and find beauty in the everyday.” This sentiment is beautifully captured in his collection, where subtlety meets power in a harmonious blend.
