Eugenio Derbez has enjoyed more than three decades as a leading comedy figure in Spanish-speaking entertainment. In the U.S., he gained recognition for his roles in series like Apple TV+’s “Acapulco” and his part in the Academy Award-winning “CODA.”
Throughout his career, Derbez has nurtured a sizable family, many of whom have also become public figures. His three grown children have gained extensive followings on social media, echoing their father’s success. Now, the Derbez family is fully committing to a family-run production company to tap into their collective social media clout, which exceeds 180 million followers.
The Derbez family has entered into a partnership with 3Pas Studios to establish Studio DRBZ. This content company will focus on producing original content for digital platforms, aiming to create prototypes for films, television series, live media, podcasts, e-commerce, and beyond.
Derbez has been a partner at 3Pas since founding the company in 2014 alongside producer Ben Odell, who acts as CEO. Under their collaboration, 3Pas has produced projects featuring Eugenio Derbez, including “Acapulco” and the 2023 indie film “Radical,” which had a notable presence on the festival circuit. Javier Williams plays a crucial role as the president of Spanish-language content within 3Pas, which also boasts a functioning production service division in Mexico called Visceral.
The Derbez family is no stranger to public attention, largely due to the success of the unscripted reality series “De Viaje con los Derbez,” which aired for six seasons on TelevisaUnivision’s Vix streamer and on Amazon Prime Video in Latin America.
Studio DRBZ will be a creative hub for projects developed by Derbez, his wife Alessandra Rosaldo, and their three adult children: Aislinn Derbez, José Eduardo Derbez, and Vadhir Derbez. The family also includes young Aitana Derbez, Eugenio’s daughter with Rosaldo.

In terms of leadership for Studio DRBZ, Eugenio Derbez will act as chairman while Odell will continue as CEO. Williams retains his position leading Spanish-language content and overseeing Visceral. Other executives include Leonardo Zimbrón, the executive VP of feature films, and Jordan Rubio, who is the VP of comedy and family content. Plans are also in motion to appoint a digital content leader shortly.

Odell emphasized that the design of Studio DRBZ is well attuned to the evolving landscape of content creation and consumption in the digital era. Over the past three years, the Derbez family has achieved an impressive 4.1 billion video views and 315 million engagements across various social media platforms, according to the Studio DRBZ announcement.
