For years, patriotic Americans have organized support rallies, prayer vigils, and public gatherings in Washington D.C. to advocate for those labeled as political prisoners following the events of January 6. These gatherings, however, have often been met with fierce opposition from activists on the left, who seem determined to disrupt the proceedings with vocal protests.
Micki Witthoeft, mother of Ashli Babbitt, has experienced this firsthand during her nightly vigils outside the D.C. correctional facility for those detained post-January 6. She has faced interruptions from individuals reportedly celebrating her daughter’s tragic death on that fateful day.
On Friday, a press conference was held by five prominent members of the Proud Boys organization in Washington D.C., where they announced a $100 million lawsuit against federal officials, claiming their incarceration was both false and politically motivated.
During this presentation, former D.C. Commissioner Patricia Equino made an appearance, disrupting the Proud Boys with loud, fervent remarks delivered through a bullhorn. Equino, who was elected to the D.C. Commission in January 2023 and has an extensive background with the board of elections, is no stranger to controversy.
Tommy Tatum, a social media commentator, shared footage of Equino’s impassioned outburst, which some observers have described as almost otherworldly.
Her vocalizations have drawn comparisons to someone possessed, reflecting the emotional intensity of the moment.
