Royce Keys achieved a significant win on SmackDown in his first solo match. During a backstage interview, he was greeted by a former Bloodline member who hinted at a possible alliance.
This week marked Royce Keys’ return to SmackDown, coinciding with a homecoming event. After a two-month absence, likely due to a lack of creative direction, WWE reintroduced him to a welcoming audience in his hometown, the Bay Area. He received an enthusiastic response as he took on 30-year-old Berto, also known as Humberto Carrillo. Keys had not appeared on SmackDown since he and Angel Garza participated in a Gauntlet match, which was ultimately won by Damian Priest and R-Truth, who later captured the WWE Tag Team Titles. However, it could have been Berto and Garza in their place.
Thanks for the submission!
After defeating Berto, Royce Keys was in good spirits during a backstage interview. Achieving a dream of joining WWE was particularly inspiring for Keys, who grew up in a neighborhood plagued by gang violence and drugs. Solo Sikoa, a former Bloodline member and the leader of MFT, expressed his admiration for Keys’ performance and hinted at a potential partnership by approaching him and expressing his interest.
Solo Sikoa is known for his “if you’re not with us, you’re against us” mindset. It’s intriguing that Keys was targeted, considering he has no ties to the Tongan, Samoan, or Polynesian wrestling families. With the feud between MFT and Wyatt Sicks concluded following Tama Tonga’s return of the lantern to the Wyatts, this potential alliance appears to be the next development.
