Ryan Lizza Takes Leave of Absence Amid Scandal with Olivia Nuzzi
After rumors of a scandalous relationship with star journalist Olivia Nuzzi surfaced, Ryan Lizza, Chief Washington Correspondent at Politico, has decided to take a mutually agreed leave of absence from his position. Nuzzi, who was also placed on leave from her job at New York Magazine, reportedly grew close to Lizza after writing a profile piece on the politician.
Although both parties have denied any physical relationship, sources claim that their alleged fling extended to steamy sexting sessions and “incredible Facetime sex.” Nuzzi has accused Lizza of harassment and blackmail, alleging that he stole an electronic device from her and shopped information about their relationship to media outlets.
In response to Nuzzi’s claims, Lizza issued a statement denying the allegations and vowing to defend himself vigorously. A judge has ruled that Nuzzi can have police accompany her when retrieving her belongings from Lizza, with the matter set to return to court on October 15.
This is not the first time Lizza has faced controversy. In 2017, he was fired from his position as the New Yorker’s Washington Correspondent due to allegations of “improper sexual conduct.” Lizza was previously married to his college sweetheart but divorced after 11 years.
As the scandal continues to unfold, the future of both Lizza and Nuzzi remains uncertain. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
