Charged With Homicide After Deadly ATV Incident

11:09 AM PT — Legal filings reviewed by TMZ Sports indicate that Julian Fleming is facing nine charges, including homicide by vehicle while under the influence, homicide by vehicle, and aggravated assault by vehicle involving DUI.
Records suggest Fleming’s blood alcohol content was recorded at .118 shortly after the accident.
9:54 AM PT — Julian Fleming’s lawyer, David Bahuriak, spoke to TMZ Sports, asserting that the charge of homicide by vehicle against Fleming is unfounded.
Bahuriak stated, “In my opinion, the prosecution has taken a tragic and unavoidable accident and criminalized it without supporting facts for homicide.”
He further noted that Fleming “lost his love” in the accident and that the prosecution serves no beneficial purpose.
Julian Fleming, a former wide receiver for Penn State, is facing various charges following an ATV accident that tragically claimed the life of his girlfriend.
A Bradford County, PA court official confirmed to TMZ Sports that Fleming is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday to address charges including DUI and aggravated assault.
The charges arise from a serious incident in late May.
As reported by Pennsylvania State Police, Fleming, 24, was riding his ATV when a deer unexpectedly crossed his path, leading to a collision that saw both Fleming and his girlfriend, 23-year-old Alyssa Boyd, thrown from the vehicle.
Authorities noted that neither occupant wore safety gear during the incident; Boyd was declared dead at the location, while Fleming suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized.
Fleming commenced his college football journey with Ohio State in 2020, transitioning to Penn State after four seasons with the Buckeyes. He participated in 16 games for the Nittany Lions in ’24, achieving 14 receptions for 176 yards and a touchdown.
