According to sources, “Behind closed doors, she’s still facing emotional challenges and finds herself fatigued more easily. Adjusting back to royal life post-treatment is proving to take longer than expected,” shared an insider. “She has yet to return to her previous state of health following her diagnosis.”
Middleton, who publicly revealed her cancer diagnosis in early 2024 without specifying the type, expressed to William, 43, her need to step back from her royal commitments for a “well-deserved break” before their children, Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (10), and Prince Louis (7), return to school.
Despite her reduced public presence, Middleton remains enthusiastic about engagement with the public, actively participating in her online series Mother Nature, with the latest installment showcasing the beauty of summertime through her narration.

King Charles has raised concerns regarding his well-being, sparking talks on the royal family’s future.
According to Anderson, “She will find her footing in no time.” It seems both Middleton and William are aware that their roles may soon shift due to the ongoing health issues affecting King Charles. They understand that the monarchy might soon call upon her, and thus she is focused on ensuring she is ready for the responsibilities ahead.
Many in the royal circle express hope that King Charles will reign for many more years, yet there is a visible growing concern about his health, with reports indicating he has appeared ‘ashen and weary.’ As one courtier put it, “Kate will need to step up sooner rather than later, and she wants to be prepared for that moment.”
