CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz kicked off Fal.Con 2024 with gratitude towards customers and partners for their support during challenging times earlier in the year. The company faced a global IT outage in July due to a software update, but Kurtz emphasized the importance of transparency and effective response in transforming a company and industry.

During the keynote, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella joined via teleconference to discuss collaboration between Microsoft and CrowdStrike at the Security Summit. The partnership focuses on secure deployments and adapting Windows as an open platform for cybersecurity partners.

Kurtz introduced the Resilient-by-Design framework, which goes beyond just bouncing back from incidents. It aims to embed resilience into every aspect of the ecosystem, emphasizing continuous learning and adaptation to evolving threats.

CrowdStrike’s investment in cloud security was highlighted, with recent acquisitions like Bionic and Flow Security contributing to the Falcon Cloud Security platform. This platform offers real-time visibility and protection, streamlining cloud operations for customers.

The introduction of CrowdStrike Financial Services and Falcon Flex licensing model provides flexible financing solutions and customizable approaches for customers. This initiative aims to simplify platform adoption and deployment based on customer feedback.

Looking ahead, CrowdStrike and Microsoft are committed to a collaborative and resilient future, with a focus on secure deployment practices and creating secure, resilient products for customers. Kurtz emphasized the importance of creating a culture of resiliency within the company and the industry, ensuring continuous innovation and customer-centric direction.

In conclusion, CrowdStrike’s commitment to innovation, resilience, and customer satisfaction shines through in the Resilient-by-Design framework, Falcon Flex, and CrowdStrike Financial Services. The company’s focus on staying ahead of challenges and emerging stronger from setbacks reflects its dedication to excellence in cybersecurity.
