Mevlana Lipp’s latest art exhibition, titled “Vista,” showcases a mesmerizing collection of otherworldly flowers that bloom behind ornate barriers reminiscent of wrought iron fences. Inspired by the intricate metal bars he observed while visiting Venice, Lipp’s work explores the concept of a barrier between reality and fantasy.

In “Vista,” Lipp combines painting and sculpture techniques to create stunning botanical pieces. Layering acrylic paint, ink, and sand on intricately cut wooden panels placed on velvet, he creates a sense of depth and texture in his artwork. The juxtaposition of vibrant jewel tones and muted hues adds to the ethereal quality of the flowers, which seem to come alive behind the open barriers.

Unlike his previous works, “Vista” features a warmer and brighter color palette. Lipp explains that he wanted to experiment with different color temperatures, from icy cold mists to red deserts stretching endlessly into the distance. This exploration of colors reflects the artist’s desire to convey a wider range of emotions and visual experiences through his art.

Symbolically, Lipp views plants as metaphors for base instincts and emotions, free from the constraints of human society. Through his artwork, he explores the interconnectedness of nature and the spontaneity of natural interactions. “Plants don’t run the risk of hurting each other’s feelings,” he muses, highlighting the uninhibited exchange of energy and life in the natural world.

The “Vista” exhibition is currently on display at Capsule Venice until December 15. Viewers can immerse themselves in Lipp’s fantastical floral world and experience the intricate details and vibrant colors of his artwork up close. To see more of Mevlana Lipp’s work, follow him on Instagram.

Overall, “Vista” offers a captivating glimpse into a surreal botanical realm, where barriers between reality and imagination blur, and the beauty of nature is celebrated in all its vibrant glory.
