FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino is adamant that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein did not meet foul play in jail. He insists that there is video evidence showing the wealthy financier took his own life in his cell, and this footage will soon be made public.
During an appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Bongino revealed the existence of surveillance footage from Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan. He claims that the video proves no one else was involved in Epstein’s demise.
Bongino, a conservative talk show host appointed to his FBI role by President Trump, stated that he and FBI Director Kash Patel thoroughly examined the evidence and concluded that Epstein indeed took his own life. Despite this, many remain skeptical of the official account.
Bongino mentioned that the jail video is being prepared for release, with the agency currently enhancing the footage for better clarity.
Addressing potential doubts, Bongino reassured, “There’s no DNA, audio, fingerprints, suspects, accomplices, or tips. If you have any evidence to the contrary, we’d like to see it.”
Epstein’s death in 2019 raised suspicions among conspiracy theorists, who believed he was murdered to prevent him from disclosing information about powerful individuals involved in his illegal activities.
Epstein’s controversial past includes a 2008 conviction in Florida on charges of soliciting a minor for prostitution. He served a reduced sentence as part of a plea deal. His associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, is currently serving a 20-year prison term in Florida on related charges.
Concluding his remarks, Bongino emphasized, “There’s clear video evidence showing Epstein alone in his cell. The truth will be evident to all.”
