A Former Employee Alerts FBI About Jeffrey Epstein’s Disturbing Behavior

Decades before Jeffrey Epstein became a notorious figure, a former employee named Maria Farmer alerted the FBI about his interest in “child pornography” and his threats of arson. However, the authorities apparently did nothing in response to her complaint.

Farmer, who was hired by Epstein to assist with art purchases, filed a complaint against him on Sept. 3, 1996. It took nearly 10 years for Epstein to face significant legal scrutiny for his actions.

Speaking to The New York Times about the recently released report confirming her complaint, Farmer expressed a sense of vindication after waiting three decades. She stated, “I can’t believe it. They can’t call me a liar anymore.”

Despite facing accusations of fabricating her story, Farmer persisted in her efforts to inform authorities about Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell’s predatory behavior.

The release of thousands of documents on Epstein by the Department of Justice under the Epstein Files Transparency Act shed light on Farmer’s previously overlooked complaint.

While Farmer’s name was redacted in the complaint, she confirmed its content, which detailed Epstein’s theft of photos and threats against her if she spoke out.

Following her complaint, Farmer claimed to have received no response from the FBI for nearly a decade. The subsequent investigation contributed to the controversial plea deal Epstein secured in 2008.

Reflecting on her complaint, Farmer emphasized the need for federal investigators to scrutinize Epstein’s associates, particularly Maxwell. However, the released FBI complaint did not mention Maxwell or other powerful figures in Epstein’s circle.

Farmer’s sister, Annie, testified at Maxwell’s trial about her experiences with Epstein and Maxwell, underscoring the traumatic impact of their actions.

Lawyer Brad Edwards, representing Epstein victims, called for a thorough investigation into the government’s concealment of Farmer’s complaint, labeling it as “shameful.”

Aside from the FBI, Farmer also filed a complaint with the New York Police Department, indicating her persistent efforts to seek justice.

Critics, including Rep. Thomas Massie, criticized the Trump administration for alleged non-compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, pointing out delays in document release and excessive redactions.
