A firefighter from the FDNY based in Brooklyn was reportedly arrested with a stash of cocaine and various recreational drugs in Long Island earlier this month, according to The Post.
Detectives from the Nassau County Police Department apprehended Bomani Drayton on October 2 in West Hempstead, seizing narcotics believed to include cocaine, Ketamine, MDMA, Adderall, and Alprazolam, as indicated by police statements.
Drayton, aged 29 and residing on Delmar Loop, is accused of planning to distribute the drugs, as outlined in the police report.
Charges against him include multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, with a court date now scheduled for October 14, as per court documents.
As a result of the incident, the FDNY has suspended Drayton, an insider revealed to The Post.
Drayton became part of the FDNY in 2023 and was stationed at Engine 234 in Brooklyn.
No immediate response was received from the attorney representing Drayton when contacted for comments.
