Despite the alarming situation, sources say that the Captain Kirk star is currently “doing well” and is “resting comfortably” following evaluation at a local hospital. An ambulance from the LAFD was dispatched to his home as a precautionary measure.

This health crisis comes just over a year after Shatner publicly announced his victory over cancer, having battled stage four melanoma. He shared that he underwent surgery and immunotherapy treatment, though the specifics of his diagnosis were not fully disclosed.

In 2016, Shatner faced a prostate cancer scare, which turned out to be a misdiagnosis due to an unusual spike in his PSA (prostate-specific antigen) levels. Recalling the anxiety of that moment, he stated, “That was really scary. I was told by a doctor I had a terminal disease. That I was going to die.”

He later attributed the elevated PSA levels to testosterone supplements he had been taking, which he has since ceased.

Shatner is renowned for portraying Captain James T. Kirk on the original Star Trek series, which aired from 1966 to 1969, alongside a talented cast that included Leonard Nimoy as Spock and DeForest Kelley as Dr. McCoy.
