Bringing a delightful collaboration to life, renowned stylist Harry Lambert dedicated several days working alongside an illustrator. This process stands out as one of his favorite aspects of design. “Certain pieces in the collection reflect a distinct character, while others embody the spirited essence of Disney,” Lambert shares. “The goal was to fuse Disney’s magic with the world of fashion.”

The Collection: A Fusion of Fashion and Fantasy

The result is a captivating array of fashion items: striking jackets sculpted to fit the body with an animated flair, playful puff-ball skirts, chic minishorts, curvy polished shoes, stylish twin-sets, and feather boas that permeate the womenswear line. In a nod to family fashion, the kidswear features scaled-down versions of these vibrant styles, marking Lambert’s debut in children’s fashion. Direct tributes to Disney heritage appear through fuzzy mouse-ear beanies and graphic tees adorned with character illustrations and fun slogans. Lambert has already sparked excitement by teasing a Goofy cap spotted at one of the parks, exclaiming, “Everyone kept asking me where it came from!”

A Career Steeped in Joy and Fun

Joy and happiness have been consistent themes throughout Lambert’s career, whether he is styling celebrities in memorable outfits, like Emma Corrin’s iconic goldfish minidress, or creating playful collaborations with Zara. This vibrant mood was palpable during the campaign shoot, where Lambert hosted a faux game show starring Disney characters with his family in attendance. “My intention with all these collections is clear – I strive to create a sense of fun, joy, and clothes that are simply enjoyable to wear,” he explains.

Ah Gee! Wow: Harry Lambert for Zara X Disney will officially launch on 25 September at Zara.com and select stores. An exclusive preview of the collection will be available at The Selfridges Corner Shop, London, from 22 September.
