A fire broke out at a residence in the French Quarter of New Orleans on Thursday, following a tragic incident where a terrorist drove through New Year’s Eve revelers on Bourbon Street. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, but witnesses reported seeing a plume of smoke from a distance. Firefighters quickly responded to the scene to combat the blaze.

Emergency crews from New Orleans arrived at 1226 Chartres Street near Barracks to address the fire. A video captured smoke billowing from a two-story home as firefighters worked to extinguish the flames. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, and the fire was brought under control by 3 p.m. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.

This incident comes shortly after a separate fire at a New Orleans Airbnb rented by the terrorist responsible for the recent attack that claimed the lives of 10 individuals and injured 35 others during the New Year’s Eve celebration. The Airbnb, located at 1329 Mandeville Street, was rented by the terrorist, identified as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar.

Law enforcement officials also discovered a bomb-making station at Jabbar’s trailer in Houston. These findings have raised concerns about potential connections to terrorist activities. Authorities and bomb squad technicians were called to the scene to investigate further after firefighters extinguished the fire at the Airbnb rental.

The incidents in the French Quarter and at the Airbnb rental underscore the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement in addressing threats to public safety. As investigations continue into both the fire and the terrorist attack, authorities are working diligently to ensure the safety and security of the community.
