Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao Set for Rematch on Netflix
Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. and Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao are gearing up to step back into the ring once again, this time live on Netflix. The two boxing legends will face off in a professional bout on Sept. 19, 2026 at The Sphere in Las Vegas, with Netflix streaming the event worldwide. This highly anticipated rematch comes after their historic “Fight of the Century” back in 2015, which Mayweather won via unanimous decision.
Pacquiao has continued to stay active in the boxing world, having fought in eight matches since their last encounter. His most recent fight ended in a majority draw against Mario Barrios in July 2025. On the other hand, Mayweather has not competed professionally since his victory over Conor McGregor in 2017. However, he has participated in several exhibition matches, including bouts against Logan Paul and John Gotti III.
More details about the undercard fights for the event will be revealed at a later date. The rematch is being organized and produced by EverWonder Studio, Hidden Empire, and Limitless X Holdings, with Manny Pacquiao Promotions and Mayweather Promotions partnering with CSI Sports/Fight Sports for promotion.
Pacquiao expressed his excitement for the rematch, stating, “The fans have waited long enough—they deserve this rematch, and it will be even bigger now that it will be streamed live globally on Netflix. I want Floyd to live with the one loss on his professional record and always remember who gave it to him.” Mayweather, on the other hand, confidently stated, “I already fought and beat Manny once. This time will be the same result.”
The first Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight was a monumental event in boxing history, drawing a record 4.6 million pay-per-view buys and setting a world-record live gate of $72 million at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Netflix has been making strides in live sports streaming, with notable events like Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson and Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3. They have also streamed boxing matches such as Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford and Anthony Joshua’s knockout victory over Paul. Upcoming fights on Netflix include Tyson Fury against Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11 and Ronda Rousey against Gina Carano in MMA on May 16.
