Anne Burrell’s Kindness Shines Through on Set, Says Antoni Porowski
Antoni Porowski, 39, recently opened up about his experience working with Anne Burrell on a new cooking show. The Say I Do star revealed how quickly he formed a close friendship with the renowned chef during their time together on set.
Porowski shared that he and Burrell spent long hours together, often up to 12 hours a day for three weeks, filming the show. Despite their busy schedule, Burrell always made time to connect with Porowski on a personal level. He recalled a touching moment when Burrell showed her kindness by making him a small crocheted heart when he was feeling under the weather.
“She loved to crochet, so she would sit down everywhere − at the bar, the restaurant, in a production meeting – and she would crochet and talk to you,” Porowski shared. “It was a way for her to relax and focus, but what really struck me was the little heart she made for me.”
Porowski went on to describe how Burrell went out of her way to show her care and concern for him, even after a long day of shooting. He was touched by the gesture of receiving a card from Burrell, expressing well wishes for his recovery and support for the show’s finale.
“I think that it’s really what I carry with me: the idea that she cared, not only about the show, but about the people that work on the show, about the recruits,” Porowski reflected. “She always found time for everybody and truly made an effort to connect with each person on set.”
