Summary Highlights

  • Rumors of the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite
  • Expected global release within this year
  • Indications that Nothing may continue the series

The upcoming smartphone from Nothing might not be the (4a) Pro as previously thought, but could instead be the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite.

Recently, we shared that the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro has been seen in an IMEI certification, suggesting its imminent launch.

Exclusive for XpertPick:

However, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore recently indicated on X that “Nothing’s next smartphone will be Nothing Phone (3a) Lite.”

This new device is said to feature 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, along with the classic black and white color options typical of Nothing’s aesthetic. Its global release is also expected this year.

Three and Continuing

If you’re a regular on these pages, you might be wondering what this means for the Nothing Phone (3) series. It’s understandable to assume that the series had reached its end, especially considering CEO Carl Pei’s suggestion that the Nothing Phone (3) would be the last in line.

Perhaps the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite is more like an unexpected addition to the family, ready to emerge just when it seems all is settled.

Notably, this rumor aligns with past statements from reputable leaker Yogesh Brar made in July, suggesting that Nothing might introduce ‘Lite’ or ‘T’ branded devices in their lineup.

At the time, there were hints that premium models weren’t resonating well with the brand’s fans, prompting a shift back towards more budget-friendly options.

We were initially a bit perplexed by the terminology, especially given Nothing’s flexible use of ‘Pro’, but this fresh insight may help clarify their strategy moving forward.
