The Bot Company Raises $150 Million in Funding Round Led by Greenoaks

The Bot Company, a robotics startup founded by former Cruise co-founder and CEO Kyle Vogt, has secured $150 million in a recent funding round led by Greenoaks, as reported by Reuters, citing undisclosed sources.

Co-founded by Vogt, Paril Jain, and Luke Holoubek, The Bot Company aims to develop a robot that specializes in household chores. The startup, which was launched less than a year ago, received an initial $150 million investment from notable figures like Nat Friedman, Daniel Gross, Nabeel Hyatt, Patrick Collison, John Collison, and Quiet Capital.

Vogt’s decision to start The Bot Company came shortly after his departure from Cruise, the autonomous vehicle company he founded in 2013 and later sold to General Motors. His resignation from Cruise followed an unfortunate incident where a pedestrian was hit by a Cruise vehicle, raising concerns about the safety of autonomous driving technology.
