Former WWE and AEW veteran Dustin Rhodes, also known as Goldust, recently revealed his plan to retire from in-ring competition in the next couple of years. The legendary wrestler, who has been a prominent figure in the wrestling industry since the late 1980s, shared his intentions for life after wrestling during an interaction with a fan.

Rhodes, a former WWE Intercontinental Champion, confirmed that he will continue to wrestle for a few more years before hanging up his boots. Having wrestled in top promotions like WCW and WWE, Dustin has been a part of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) since its inception in 2019. However, he has been out of action since his last match in July 2025, where he underwent surgery.

Responding to a fan’s query on X about potentially starting a podcast about his wrestling career, Dustin Rhodes revealed his post-retirement plans. He expressed his interest in launching a podcast after retiring from wrestling and emphasized that he would not engage in negative talk about fellow wrestlers, unlike some current podcasters in the industry.

In a social media post, Dustin wrote, “Yes! When I retire in a couple, I plan on it. What I won’t do is talk bad about people in the biz. Too many podcaster/wrestlers talk sh*t about our brothers and sisters.” This statement reflects his commitment to maintaining a respectful and positive attitude towards his colleagues in the wrestling community.

As for his current status, Dustin Rhodes provided an update on his recovery following double knee replacement surgery. Despite facing a slow and steady recovery process, he assured fans that he is making progress and working towards getting back in the ring. Fans eagerly anticipate his return to action and look forward to seeing him back inside the squared circle.
