A Tennessee father, Jason Alan Miller, was recently arrested for possession and transportation of child pornography as he disembarked from a Carnival Cruise with his pregnant wife and eight children, seven of whom were foster children later adopted by the Millers. Miller, 48, had fostered at least 20 children over the years.
The arrest took place at Port Miami on September 13, when Miller was selected for a random secondary screening. During the search, immigration agents found several photos of suspected child sexual abuse on his Samsung Galaxy phone hidden in a folder within the Google Photos app. One folder contained 45 photos titled â6yo_rare,â as per court documents.
Miller admitted to knowing about the presence of child pornography on his phone, which he claimed no one else had access to. He now faces charges of possession and transportation of child pornography, with a potential sentence of up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
