Donald Trump is not only giving shoes to his MAGA allies, but he has also reportedly gifted another clothing item and offered fashion advice.
The president has been giving $145 footwear to members of his Cabinet, GOP lawmaker allies, and even Fox News’ Sean Hannity. They are said to be “afraid not to wear” the shoes, especially after the incident involving Secretary of State Marco Rubio wearing shoes that were too big.
On Wednesday, Jesse Watters, a colleague of Hannity, revealed on “The Five” that Trump had also given him a clothing gift.
Watters, a big fan of the president, said, “This is what the president does.” He recalled how Trump used to criticize his English spread collars on air, prompting him to buy shirts with a normal collar.
According to Watters, Trump would comment on his spread collar, saying, “Jesse, your collar is so spread it looks like it’s going backwards behind your head.” Eventually, Trump bought him a shirt with a normal collar, which Watters felt pressured to wear.
Watters admitted, “I felt like pressure to wear it. I mean, it was too big, but now I wear normal collars. But he was right, my English collar was really messed up.”
