Fun Ways to Use Your Free Teen Slang Posters
These ideas are straight fire!
Create a bulletin board featuring the posters, then invite students to add sticky notes with their own inspirational messages using the latest slang.
Encourage students to work in groups, “translating” each poster into plain language that their parents or grandparents would understand.
Have students select a poster, then research how to convey the same message using slang from another era. (For instance, “Bruh, you can’t be late to class just because you think you have rizz,” could be transformed into “Dude, it’s so whack you always show up late just because you think you’re da bomb,” or “Man, it’s such a drag that you’re always late—you’re not nearly as groovy as you think.”)
