UK mobile network Three, now the largest in the country after merging with Vodafone, is set to embark on an ambitious eSIM trial this summer. The company has announced a groundbreaking initiative that will allow attendees at six major UK music festivals – Park Life, Wireless, TRNSMT, Reading & Leeds, Latitude, and Wilderness – to enjoy free and unlimited data, calls, and texts on the Three network.

The trial is scheduled to commence on 14 June with the Rockstar presents Parklife Festival and will run for seven days. Festival-goers with tickets to any of these events will have the opportunity to pre-register as Three customers for the duration of the festival.

In addition to providing unlimited data, calls, and texts, Three is also offering festival attendees access to exclusive perks through their Three+ membership. These perks include discounts on brands like Moonpig and Cineworld, weekly £1 barista-made drinks from local cafes and shops, and early access to gigs and comedy events.

Furthermore, Three will be providing free charging points at the music festivals, ensuring that attendees can stay connected throughout the event. This is not the first time Three has come to the rescue at a music festival, and their commitment to enhancing the festival experience is evident.

To celebrate the eSIM trial, Three has introduced a unique bucket hat made from 500 recycled SIM cards, emphasizing the shift towards eSIM technology and the eventual obsolescence of physical SIM cards. Festival-goers sporting this distinctive hat can expect a warm reception and perhaps even some extra attention.

For those in need of a phone with long-lasting battery life to survive a full festival weekend, Three recommends considering devices known for their exceptional battery performance. By choosing one of these phones, festival attendees can ensure they stay connected and powered up throughout the event.

Overall, Three’s eSIM trial at UK music festivals promises to revolutionize the festival experience and showcase the benefits of cutting-edge technology in the mobile industry. With unlimited data, exclusive perks, and innovative initiatives like the eSIM bucket hat, Three is set to make a lasting impression on festival-goers this summer.
