Chicago resident Vashon Tuncle recently appeared on “The Ingraham Angle” to express his support for ICE’s efforts and to voice the frustration felt by many in his community who feel abandoned by local and state officials. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson have prioritized protecting sanctuary policies for illegal immigrants over the safety of American citizens.
In a disturbing turn of events, Pritzker went as far as spreading a false rumor about ICE agents visiting a school on Chicago’s South Side to incite fear in the community. It was later revealed that the agents in question were actually Secret Service agents investigating a threat at the school. This blatant disregard for the truth and manipulation of information highlights the lengths to which these officials are willing to go to push their agenda.
The Department of Justice has taken action against the state of Illinois and the city of Chicago, filing a lawsuit alleging that they have interfered with federal immigration enforcement. The lawsuit claims that Pritzker, Johnson, and others have enacted laws that obstruct and discriminate against the federal government’s efforts to enforce immigration laws, violating the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
Despite the escalating tensions, Pritzker has directed his tough rhetoric towards President Trump rather than addressing the criminals wreaking havoc in his state. Johnson, on the other hand, has made it clear where his allegiance lies, siding with illegal immigrants over the residents of Chicago.
During a press conference in January, Johnson accused President Trump of trying to strip away their humanity and reaffirmed his commitment to making Chicago a welcoming city for all, regardless of who occupies the White House. However, the people of Illinois, particularly those in Chicago who are bearing the brunt of the city’s financial strain caused by illegal immigration, have reached their breaking point.
Tuncle emphasized the overwhelming support for Trump in Chicago, stating that the numbers don’t lie and that residents wanted Trump to visit the city. He criticized Johnson and Pritzker for failing to uphold their oaths to protect the people of Chicago and Illinois, accusing them of prioritizing illegal immigrants over the safety and well-being of their constituents.
The ongoing battle between federal and state authorities over immigration policies has left many Chicagoans feeling neglected and vulnerable. As the debate rages on, it remains to be seen how this conflict will be resolved and what impact it will have on the community at large.
