Te Paea Selby-Rickit, once a key player for the Southern Steel, has now emerged as a formidable force for the Mainland Tactix. In a recent match in Invercargill, Selby-Rickit led her team to a 57-49 victory, showcasing her skills as a playmaker.

Despite only scoring nine goals, Selby-Rickit dominated the game with 36 feeds, 27 goal assists, and 17 centre pass receives. Her performance helped the Tactix secure the win, maintaining their top position in the ANZ Premiership.

The Steel put up a strong fight, with co-captain Kate Heffernan making a comeback from injury. However, the Tactix managed to maintain their lead throughout the game.

In the end, the Tactix emerged victorious with a 57-49 scoreline. The Steel made a strong comeback in the final quarter but fell short of closing the gap to secure a bonus point.

Meanwhile, Northern Stars defender Kate Burley has suffered a season-ending foot injury, further affecting the dynamics of the ANZ Premiership.
