California Governor Gavin Newsom’s unconventional response to The Post’s coverage of his controversial “testicle-crushing” pose has backfired in a big way.

Social media, particularly conservatives, had a blast with Newsom’s attempt to address the story, creating humorous yoga-themed memes inspired by the governor’s actions.

“Gavin will definitely regret this,” the Monterey County Republican Party captioned a post featuring a video of Newsom leading a yoga class with prominent Democrats, complete with a man bun.

Another parody video shows Newsom in a yoga pose similar to Dwi Pada Sirsasana, taking off from a chair on stage at The New York Times Dealbook Summit and landing in the ocean.

Newsom shared the edited yoga pose photo on his social media account with the caption: “Democracy requires flexibility.”

“Did they really post this?” questioned an account representing pollster Mark Mitchell, among the many reactions to Newsom’s bold post, which has often taken jabs at President Trump and other Republicans.
