California Governor Gavin Newsom stated that his potential bid for the presidency hinges on the support and input of his wife and four children.
Newsom has been speculated as a strong contender in the upcoming 2028 presidential election. His recently released memoir, titled “Young Man in a Hurry: A Memoir of Discovery,” has only fueled these speculations further.
During an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Dana Bash questioned Newsom about the factors that would determine his decision to run for president.
“There are five metrics: Dutch, Brooklyn, Hunter, Jennifer, and Montana,” Newsom humorously replied, referring to his family members.
When asked if his family supports his potential presidential run, Newsom revealed that their opinions vary day by day.
Newsom recounted a conversation with one of his sons, who discouraged him from running for president, citing the need for more quality family time.
Reflecting on his family’s influence on his decision-making process, Newsom emphasized the importance of unity and partnership within his family.
Despite the uncertainties surrounding his political future, Newsom expressed gratitude for his children, describing them as unique individuals who constantly inspire him.
