Gene Simmons collided head-on with a stationary vehicle in Malibu, narrowly avoiding a plunge off a cliff and into the ocean, as revealed by footage obtained by TMZ.
The KISS frontman’s SUV inflicted the most damage on a truck parked along the Pacific Coast Highway, with visible disfigurement to the truck’s hood while Gene’s Lincoln Navigator remained largely undamaged.
According to his wife, Shannon, Gene lost consciousness while driving and veered into traffic before the crash. The aftermath footage suggests that without hitting the truck, Gene might have plummeted over the cliff and onto the beach.

Paul Stanley remarked that it was a miracle that Gene survived and noted that Shannon is apprehensive about driving with him again.
Miraculously, the airbags did not deploy, yet Gene escaped without any visible injuries, though paramedics arrived with a stretcher.
Shannon mentioned that Gene dislikes drinking water and had recently started a new medication, which contributed to his dehydration and the fainting spell while driving.
The family advises Gene to avoid highways in the future and restrict driving to short trips, but Shannon hopes he considers stopping driving altogether.
