Jess Coulter, the talented commercial director of production outlet O Positive Films, has recently signed with Gersh for representation. Coulter, known for being the only woman to have directed four Super Bowl commercials, is making waves in the industry with her latest work set to air during Super Bowl LX on NBC.
Coulter’s impressive background includes experience in improv, sketch writing, acting, and directing with NYC’s Upright Citizens Brigade and The Pit. She also dabbles in screenwriting and photography, showcasing her diverse skill set in the entertainment world.
Her Super Bowl portfolio boasts collaborations with big names such as Demi Moore, Mila Kunis, Scarlett Johansson, and Dan Marino. Coulter has also worked with comedy icons like Nick Offerman, Maya Rudolph, Wanda Sykes, and Amy Poehler on various commercial campaigns for brands like IKEA, Dunkin’, and Netflix with Ben & Jerry’s.
Looking to expand into narrative filmmaking, Coulter has already made strides with her short film “The Poster,” starring Bridget Moloney, which is making waves on the festival circuit. Prior to her directing career, Coulter was an award-winning creative director at BBDO New York, a part of Omnicom Group, with a string of accolades to her name.
Interestingly, before diving into the world of directing, Coulter was an NFL cheerleader for the Seattle Seahawks, showcasing her diverse range of talents and experiences. Gersh, the talent agency representing Coulter, has a wide array of clients across various sectors, including film, television, sports, theater, comedy, branding, publishing, and digital media.
In a significant move in 2023, Gersh sold a minority stake to Crestview Partners after nearly 75 years of family ownership, solidifying their position in the industry. With Coulter’s exceptional talent and Gersh’s strong representation, the future looks bright for this dynamic duo in the world of entertainment.
