The beloved Chip and Joanna Gaines are bringing holiday cheer through their Magnolia Network, with an exciting new offering for this festive season: “Gingerbread Land: The Biggest Little Holiday Competition.”

Hosted by Oliver Hudson and produced by the Gaineses, this show promises to deliver “the most imaginative gingerbread competition ever seen.” It will feature four exciting challenges where teams create edible worlds complete with lights, movement, and intricate storybook details.

According to Magnolia Network’s promotional materials, “In this innovative series, contestants will transform basic ingredients like flour, sugar, and candy into elaborate masterpieces, competing in rounds designed to test their creativity, structure, and design skills. Each week introduces new challenges filled with twists and surprises, while Oliver Hudson infuses fun and warmth into the competition, ushering viewers into a whimsical holiday universe where imagination knows no bounds.”

The panel of judges for “Gingerbread Land” includes renowned pastry chef Gale Gand and architect Michael Ford. Each episode will feature guest judges, such as celebrity stylist Brad Goreski, chef Christina Tosi, actress D’Arcy Carden, and, for the grand finale, Joanna Gaines herself.

“Gingerbread Land: The Biggest Little Holiday Competition” is set to premiere on November 17 at 9 p.m. ET on Magnolia Network, a collaboration between the Gaineses and Warner Bros. Discovery, with episodes available for streaming the next day on HBO Max and discovery+.

“Our goal was to create a show that brings a smile and fills viewers with the holiday spirit from the moment they tune in,” Joanna Gaines shared. “‘Gingerbread Land’ is about joy, fun, and the wonder of the season. It’s an opportunity for families to come together, support their favorite entries, and be enchanted by the creativity and playfulness that this time of year brings.”

“Right from the initial concept, we recognized that ‘Gingerbread Land’ would capture the holiday magic in both a whimsical and energetic way,” explained Allison Page, president of Magnolia Network. “It’s festive, uplifting, and the kind of show families will enjoy together year after year.”

The production of “Gingerbread Land: The Biggest Little Holiday Competition” is handled by Lando Entertainment.
