The Golden Globes will showcase Brazilian entertainment with a new event scheduled for March in Rio de Janeiro. This celebration, organized in collaboration with Urland Ventures, aims to honor talent from both film and television.
“The Golden Globes has a rich tradition of highlighting international talent, and Brazil has contributed some of the most remarkable voices and artistic narratives to the world,” stated Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes. “We are thrilled to acknowledge and celebrate these exceptional Latin American artists.”
The Brazilian event marks another milestone in the Globes’ initiative to broaden their influence globally by hosting occasions in key international entertainment hotspots, celebrating local narratives and bringing regional talent to the forefront on a global scale.
Brazilian performers and creatives have recently garnered international acclaim, with this year’s Oscar for international feature film awarded to Walter Salles’ “I’m Still Here,” which was also nominated for best picture and best actress. Additionally, “I’m Still Here” received a Golden Globe nomination for foreign language film.
The event is produced in collaboration with Passage Pictures CEO Uri Singer and entertainment entrepreneur Orlando John.
“We are honored to partner with the Golden Globes to highlight Brazil’s cultural and entertainment impact on the world stage,” expressed Singer. “The Globes’ longstanding commitment to recognizing and uplifting international artists will be vibrantly showcased with the unique spirit that only Brazil can offer.”
Further details will be revealed in early 2026.
