The Scam Detection feature, previously available on Pixel phones, is now coming to Pixel watches, providing users with protection against fraudulent calls. While Google acknowledges that the feature may not be 100% accurate, it still offers valuable protection against scam calls.
Google explains, “Your Pixel Watch alerts you to a scam mid-call when it receives a Bluetooth signal from your Pixel 9 Phone. So if you’re on the go, you can be alerted to a scam call without needing to take out your phone.” This integration between Pixel phones and watches enhances the overall user experience and security.
The April Pixel Drop may be smaller in scale compared to previous updates, but the introduction of Gemini Live and Scam Detection on Pixel watches showcases Google’s commitment to enhancing the functionality and security of its devices.
