The Pixel 10a has faced challenges from the start. It faced significant criticism for not offering substantial improvements over its predecessor even before it hit the market.
Our review of the device confirms this sentiment, with consensus from other tech sites echoing the same view. The Pixel 9a, which is strikingly similar to the 10a, offers better value, especially at its reduced price of £349, and it has been found for as low as £299.
Adding to the woes, Google has provided yet another reason to reconsider purchasing their 2026 mid-range model.
The Pixel 10 is now available at a significant discount of £250, reducing its price to £549. This is just £50 more than the 10a.
This offer is available on the official Google store, as well as through retailers like Amazon, Argos and Currys. Amazon’s offer ends on 8 April, and other retailers are likely to follow a similar timeline, so timely action is advised.

For a modest additional cost, the Pixel 10 offers features that the 10a lacks, including Pixelsnap magnetic wireless charging, which is faster at 15W, a 5x telephoto rear camera, a more robust Tensor G5 processor, 12GB of RAM, and an improved ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Despite being slightly heavier and lacking a completely flush back design, the Pixel 10 provides significant enhancements.
The phrase “piggy in the middle” aptly describes the situation. If you’re contemplating purchasing the Pixel 10a, it may be worth considering the better value of the 9a or opting for the flagship 10 while it is available at this attractive price.
