What’s New in the Pixel 10?

Exploring Pixel 10 Colors & Design

Let’s delve into design first, as Google has revamped the color options significantly, despite holding onto a familiar shape from last year.

Now offering seven different colors, five of which are completely new, the Pixel 10 series is rich in vibrant choices. Notably, the expected Limoncello shade has been renamed to Lemongrass (see above).

The standard Pixel 10, in particular, introduces the most dramatic shift.

Besides Obsidian (black), the other options are all fresh and unique to this model. Frost presents a subtle look, Lemongrass showcases a bold statement, and Indigo pays tribute to the original ‘Really Blue’ color from the first Pixel.

For the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL, a more sophisticated palette has been introduced, featuring Moonstone and Jade alongside the standard Obsidian and Porcelain hues.

Previously, Google’s foldable models were restricted to Obsidian and Porcelain, but with the 10 Pro Fold launch, it ventures into Moonstone and Jade instead.

With the Pixel 10 series, Google breaks barriers as the first premium phones to support Qi2, which generates excitement within the community. To clarify, MagSafe is an exclusive technology from Apple, while Qi2 offers broader compatibility across devices.

Embedded magnets within the Pixel 10 design allow for easy attachment of chargers and assorted accessories, optimizing convenience whether at home, commuting, or on the go.

There’s anticipation that Google will expand its accessories offering soon, but it has confirmed that “Pixelsnap is compatible with thousands of other magnetic accessories” from various partners, inclusive of wallets, grips, and more.

If you own MagSafe products already, they may work with the Pixel 10 phones; however, expect that charging efficiency may not reach full capabilities.

Introducing Android 16 with Advanced AI Features

Android 16 has officially launched and is already available for users, yet the Pixel 10 series leads the way as the first devices to integrate this system straight out-of-the-box. It notably showcases the much-anticipated Material 3 Expressive interface redesign.

This updated interface is designed to feel more engaging, dynamic, and appealing, offering a more personalized experience tailored to individual users.
