Google is set to unveil its highly anticipated Pixel 10 smartphone range on August 20, slightly later than originally anticipated. Android Headlines initially reported that the launch date would be August 13, but it has now been pushed back by a week.
According to reports, the Pixel 10 series, which includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, will be officially announced on August 20. Pre-orders for the devices will begin on the same day, with availability scheduled for August 28.
While earlier speculations hinted at an earlier launch for the Pixel 10, potentially in June, it seems that those predictions were off the mark. The new launch dates are more aligned with last year’s model, the Pixel 9 series, which was announced on August 13 and released on August 22.
In terms of design, the Pixel 10 is expected to retain a similar look and feel to its predecessor, the Pixel 9. Recent images of a supposed Pixel 10 Pro prototype have surfaced, showing a design that closely resembles the previous model with some minor tweaks, such as a smaller camera bezel and a repositioned SIM tray.
The prototype also appears to be powered by a new Tensor G5 chip, codenamed ‘Blazer’. However, there is some confusion surrounding the chip’s manufacturing process, as it is listed as a 5nm chip while the Tensor G5 is expected to be built using a more advanced 3nm process.
Additionally, the Pixel 10 Pro is rumored to come with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, staying consistent with its predecessor’s specifications. These leaks and rumors have only added to the anticipation surrounding the upcoming Pixel 10 series.
As we eagerly await the official launch on August 20, fans of the Pixel lineup can expect an exciting lineup of smartphones with top-of-the-line features and performance. Stay tuned for more updates on the Pixel 10 series as we inch closer to the unveiling date.
