Google has exciting news for smartphone users with the expansion of its powerful Gemini Live feature, which includes camera and screen sharing capabilities. This feature, previously only available on select Android devices, is now accessible on the iOS Gemini app for free.

During the recent Google I/O event, the tech giant announced the introduction of Gemini Live with camera and screen sharing to a wider audience. This feature allows users to share what is on their phone’s camera viewfinder with the Gemini AI tool.

Additionally, Google is introducing Search Live on AI Mode, a new feature that will be integrated into Google Search. With Search Live, users can point their phone’s camera at an object and receive real-time interactive results. For example, a student could point their camera at a project and ask for advice on how to make it stronger. Gemini would then provide practical and accurate recommendations in a conversational manner.

This new feature will be accessible by tapping a ‘Live’ icon in AI Mode and Google Lens, allowing users to ask for contextual information through a conversational interface. Search Live will first be available to Google Labs users through a beta version before its full release later this summer.

In addition to these new features, Google showcased several other exciting updates at Google I/O 2025. These include a fresh new look for Android 16, advancements in smart glasses technology, and powerful real-time translation features. The company is also working on improving email functionality to make it more user-friendly. With the power of AI, it seems like there’s no limit to what Google can achieve.
