Investigation Launched into Alleged Domestic Assault by Rep. Cory Mills
On Friday, Rep. Cory Mills found himself under investigation following a reported domestic assault against a female Republican activist in Washington, DC. Mills, a 44-year-old congressman representing Florida’s 7th District, is married to an Iraqi refugee who obtained American citizenship. The couple has two sons. The luxury building where the alleged assault took place offers a rare rooftop view of the White House and was once home to former President Joe Biden’s granddaughter, Naomi.
In a statement, Raviani appeared to exonerate Mills of any misconduct, citing factors such as jet lag, sleep deprivation, and alcohol consumption during her recent vacation.
