Lisa Marie Presley’s life and legacy were recently celebrated at Graceland to honor the arrival of the late singer’s memoir. Fans of Elvis Presley’s daughter were given the exclusive opportunity to step into the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s famous home and get a rare glimpse of some of the estate’s more intimate artifacts.
The celebration took place just days before the release of “From Here to the Great Unknown: A Memoir,” a book that Lisa Marie’s daughter, Riley Keough, completed following her mother’s passing in 2023.
The Graceland visit was a dream come true for Elvis fans. The tour, which consisted of small groups of no more than 17 people, began with a 7-minute welcome message detailing the life of the rock legend. The voiceover even included a recording of Elvis himself, reminiscing about his happiest memories with his family at the property.
As the groups were guided through Graceland, each room in the mansion offered a glimpse into Lisa Marie’s life. For example, the front room showcased a key to a golf buggy that Lisa Marie used to ride around in with her father. It was revealed that in later years, she would drive around the estate in the same buggy with her twin daughters, Finley and Harper.
Personal mementos on display included childhood photos of Lisa Marie, her former high chair, tricycle, and white fur jacket, among other items. Visitors were also treated to a closer look at a scarf gifted to Lisa Marie by Elvis, with a heartfelt message inscribed on it.
Lisa Marie tragically passed away in Los Angeles in January 2023 due to complications from a bowel obstruction caused by side effects from a weight-loss surgery. She was only 54 years old. She was laid to rest at Graceland, next to her son Benjamin, who had passed away in 2020.
The event at Graceland served as a touching tribute to Lisa Marie Presley, allowing fans to connect with her legacy and the memories she shared with her famous father.
